Position: Malaria Technical Advisor, Malawi

Crown Agents seeks to recruit a Malaria Technical Advisor for a Long-Life Insecticide-Treated Nets (LLIN) Distribution Project in Malawi.
The Technical Advisor (TA) will work with the Ministry of Health, including the National Malaria Control Program and other relevant departments, to ensure that updated, technically sound, practical long life insecticide treated nets (LLIN) policies and guidelines are in place to facilitate the achievement of national LLIN coverage and usage targets.
Qualifications

·   Relevant degree qualifications in Health – MPH, health policy, planning, medicine

·   Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position

·   Preferred with a focus on implementing malaria control interventions in Africa.

·   Prior experience working with related government, donor and bilateral programs

·   Demonstrated work history in logistics management

·   Extensive history providing technical support service to a government organization preferred

·   Expertise in performing evaluations, impact assessments, and trainings

·   History of working with partners to build the required capacity

·   Knowledge of linking organizations or programs with complementary skills, capabilities and resources to enhance outcomes and conserve resources

·   Understanding and experience managing large international development programs

·   Proven history of above average performance through employment references or other sources
