A leading Financial Institution has the following vacant positions to fill:-
1. Deputy General Manager (Operations)
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Deputy General Manager (Operations) will be responsible to Design, plan and co-ordinate all aspects of Operations Management of the institution, by establishing and managing the implementation of sound work systems and delivery of quality services in accordance with the standing instructions approved by the Board of Directors.
Knowledge and Skills
The candidate should have an MBA probably in Strategic Management, BBA/BCOM, (Accts/Bus. Mgt). He/she should possess Post Graduate qualifications in business related field i.e., Finance, Accounting, Business Management or investment. Membership to a professional body is mandatory.
He / she should have a wealth of commercial awareness with proven track record; have a flair strong leadership skills, analytical skills, excellent interpersonal relations, excellent planning, organisation, communication and negotiation skills. He/she should have excellent team building skills and a team leader; have hands on experience in strategic Management techniques and experience of organisational change and development.
The candidate must have a Minimum of ten (10) years experience gained in a large and busy organisation at senior management level. He/ she should have strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal relations, planning, organisation, communications and negotiation skills.
2. Corporate Affairs Executive (1 Post)
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), his/her key responsibilities will include formulation and implementation of the organization’s communication strategy. His/her duties will entail the promotion of a positive image of the organization, management of the Website and other channels of information.
The ideal person will also be involved in communication and coordination of corporate events such as conferences, workshops and seminars.
Qualifications
- Must be a holder of a University Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing from a recognized University.
- A Post graduate degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field and membership to professional body will be an added advantage.
- Must have at least 8 years of practical experience in a dynamic communications/PR and Marketing function in commercial or private Sector with private sector with proven communication and people Leadership skills and be computer literate.
3. Assistant Audit and Compliance Officer
(2 Posts)
Overall Purposes of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Audit and Compliance Manager, the Officer will be responsible to audit financial input and outputs, and set, maintain financial standards and controls.
Key Responsibilities
He/she will be responsible to review and confirm that vouchers are properly raised with sufficient and self-explanatory narratives. He /she will balance outward clearing of accounts against cheques banked and unpaid cheques accounts against unpaid cheques from the bank.
He/she will also reconcile balances of all cash and suspense accounts. He/she will maintain a register of voucher movements in the archives to ensure traceability. He/she shall ensure that all monies due to the organization are fully recovered on time.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a University degree or Diploma in business related studies. He/she must have a CPA II, or equivalent qualification and a working experience of 3 years in a busy audit firm or financial institution.
He/she must have Strong analytical skills, integrity, a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
4. Assistant Finance and Accounting Officer
(2 Posts)
Reporting to the Principal Finance Officers, the officers will be responsible for effective and efficient preparations and maintenance of the Society’s accounting records and reports.
He/ she will produce monthly, periodical or annual reports with strict deadlines, in compliance with International Accounting Standards.
The person will be responsible for the preparations of ledger transactions for correctness and completeness and Maintain, reconcile all bank accounts to ensure sufficient cash flow and accurate records.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a University degree or Diploma in business related studies.
He/she must have a CPA II, ACCA II or equivalent qualifications and a working experience of 3 years in a busy accounting department. He must have Strong analytical skills, be of high integrity, a good communicator and have strong interpersonal skills.
5. Assistant Operations Officer – Member Admission and Exit
(1 Post)
Reporting to the Principal Operations Officer, the Officer will be responsible to provide efficient and effective Management Records. He/she will be responsible for the process of new members’ admission and members’ exit. He/she will ensure that customers’ interests are taken care of during members’ admission and exit.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate must have ;i minimum of n University degree or a Diploma in business related studies, public relations or co-operative management. He/she must have a working experience of 3 years in a busy marketing or public relations department. He must have Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The person should be a good communicator and have a high degree of integrity.
6. Accounts/Finance Assistants – 3 Months Contract
(6 Posts)
Reporting to the Principal Finance Officers, the officers will be responsible for cleaning the organization’s Loan Book of errors. They will be responsible lor data update and correction.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidates must have a minimum of a KCSE Mean Grade C. They must have at least CPA i!, ACCA II or equivalent qualifications and a working experience of 3 years in a busy accounting department. They should have Strong analytical skills and be of high integrity.
They should be fully computer literate and ready to work during odd hours.
