Well established consultancy requires an audit manager of Tanzanian nationality. This position is based in Dar es Salaam.
Responsibilities
• Manage one or more client engagements or components of engagements, while providing quality work yourself on the engagement;
• Assume responsibility for client relationships
• Work directly with the partner and concurring partner during an engagement;
• Provide technical knowledge; direction and training to staff;
• Work closely in coordinating engagement management with Sr. Associates and make certain resources are utilized appropriately while reviewing the work product and providing direction as necessary;
• Participate in the Annual Graduate Recruitment exercise; and
• Participate in office practice decisions including resource allocation, career development of staff through goal setting and appraisals, and other people management decisions.
Qualifications
• Degree in Business or related study;
• CPA(K) or ACCA Qualified;
• 5+ years financial statement audit experience;
• Ability to plan, schedule, budget and manage multiple arrangements simultaneously;
• Capable of managing multiple seniors, staff, and interns on engagements in a supervisory function on concurrent teams/ engagements;
• Extensive knowledge and experience with IFRS, and preferably PCAOB auditing standards, also, SEC and SOX as related to clients;
• Extensive knowledge and experience of testing both internal control tests of effectiveness and tests of designs;
• Possess area of specialization with FASB’s and GASB’s related to client base.
