The selected candidate will be reporting to the Medical Focal Point she will oversee the overall implementation of the components of the reproductive and women’s health program in Gogrial Payam project, South Sudan.

Main responsibilities of the position will include:
- Implementation and supervision of antenatal care activities
- Ensure safe delivery
- Implementation and supervision of Postnatal Care activities
- Ensure that family planning advice is given and the necessary material provided to patients
- Implementation and supervision of STI clinic activities
- Appropriate management of complicated deliveries cases with medical doctor, MFP and surgeon
- Supervise/manage, train and evaluate local midwife and assistant midwife
- Evaluate the quality of the activities
- Supervise and follow up implementation of standardized MSF protocols, guidelines and procedures
- Follow up the network with TBA in the communities
- HR management (Selection of candidates, Writing job profiles, ensuring Internal regulations are followed, preparing the Duty Roster/working hours, following the National staff health policy)
- Registered Nurse/ Midwife, preferably female.
- Gynecology and maternity knowledge/ specialization is an asset
- Experience in Obstetrics/ Nursing. Previous experience with MSF/ other NGOs is an advantage
- Good spoken/ written English. Knowledge of Arabic would be an asset
- Computer literate – working knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Word are mandatory
- Strong management, training and supervision skills
- Flexibility, motivated, autonomous, proactive, patient, discreet, open minded
- Able to work in a team and respond to emergencies
