CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a Head of Retail Banking for one of its commercial banking clients in Nigeria.
Your objective will be to formulate and facilitate the implementation of strategies which contribute to the Bank’s market share, profitability and related objectives in the Retail Banking Sector.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to);
- Lead the formulation of detailed SBU plans to achieve the Bank’s strategic objectives in the Retail Banking Sector
- Provide leadership and guidance to the division in the day-to-day running of the sector
- Ensure leading-edge products/services are developed proactively and deployed speedily and profitably, to meet the identified needs of target customer segments
- Authorize major sector expenditure/transactions in line with the Bank’s approved authority limits
- Manage the Bank’s entire Retail Banking portfolio to minimize business risks and maximize profitability for the Bank
- Oversee the preparation of the Sector’s annual budget and monitor the implementation to minimize overruns
- Oversee the Bank’s relationship management function and serve as relationship management arrowhead on significant existing/new accounts in the Retail Banking segment of the market
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of the Group on a timely basis
- Serve on committees or cross-functional teams and perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or the Board of Directors
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field (post graduate degree will be advantageous)
- A minimum of 12 years working experience with at least 6 of them within a Management role
- Proven leaderships skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
