In the process of consolidating the activities related to CEFA NGO in Ikondo Ward (Njombe District), and with special reference to its socio-economic promotion activities, the partners of Cefa Ikondo Project wish to inform the general public about the following employment opportunity for one:
Job Title: Rural Promoter
Duty Station: Ikondo Ward
Duration of the Assignment: 1 year, with possible extension
Starting Date: 13/03/2010
Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
§ animation and social promotion of the localcommunities;
§ enhancing primary sector related activities into the Ikondo Ward;
§ supporting the launch of new Income Generating Activities within the Ikondo Ward;
§ planning and managing socio-economic and educational activities;
§ organizing vocational training courses and seminars to develop technical and organization skills;
§ after-training follow-up support for local beneficiaries.
Required Qualifications and Related Experience:
§ should posses a Degree or Advanced Certificate in Education or Community Development, issued by a recognized Academic Institution;
§ should have experienced at least 6 months; former, proven job experiences and/or internships pertaining to socio-economic promotion in rural contexts are a preferential condition;
§ ability in conducting training and capacity building sessions;
§ problem solving and organizational capabilities;
§ teamwork ability in multicultural contexts, with project staff and local partners;
§ computer knowledge;
§ proficiency in written and spoken English language;
§ ability to create manuals and regulations is appreciated.
Payment / Salary:
Attractive from the onset of tenure, and adjustable during the tenure to accommodate increased cost of living.
