Horticulture Production Manager/Supervisor

Oversee the day to day production activities.

Ensure customer service & quality requirements are met in an efficient and safe manner through performance.

To manage the team to ensure the effective delivery of quality and service to the customer

To manage individual performance of production operatives so that they know what is expected of them

To develop individual and team skills and knowledge to support continual improvement

To manage health and safety of their team to comply with Company and legal requirements

To manage the use of materials according to customer specifications and internal yield and usage targets

2 -Years Experience In The horticulture industry

Overall supervision of the factory

Control of production process

Drawing up a production schedule;

Working out the resources needed;

Estimating how long a job will take, costing it, and setting the quality standards;

Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.

Plant layout and materials handling, and production planning (including demand forecasting, production scheduling and the ordering of material).

During the production stage the responsibilities encompass production control (the sequencing of jobs, updating time schedules, etc), stock control, quality control and the maintenance and replacement of production equipment.

Product design and purchasing.

Liaising with buyers, sales and engineering staff.

Preferred Education:

Diploma in Food science/Horticulture
