Country Director - Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) Jobs

AAH-I, an international non-profit making agency that implements health and development projects in Africa seeks to recruit a dynamic, innovative, development leader for the position ofCountry Director for its programme in Uganda.

The position will be based in AAH-I‘s Kampala Office.

With overall responsibility for AAH-I programmes in Uganda, the Country Director ensures that the programmes are planned, implemented and coordinated within the overall AAH-I programme strategy and ensures prudent management of resources to achieve the desired results.

He/she liaises with relevant stakeholders at country level and ensures adequate inter-project coordination and networking with key partners to achieve synergy in project implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in health or social sciences with significant experience in public health and development projects management;
• Proven track record of leadership, with at least 5 years progressive senior management experience;
• Demonstrated field leadership in strategic programme and project development, implementation, and evaluation;
• Proven track record in resource mobilization;
• Commitment to promote AAH-I’s Vision, Mission and its strategic goals;
• Inspiring leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Able to cope with demanding work situations.
