UNDP Kenya would like to recruit a National Programme Officer — HIV/AIDs (SB5) on behalf of UNODC.
Background
UNODC Regional Office for Eastern Africa is a member of the Joint UN Team on AIDS in Kenya, under the coordination of UNAIDS and the overall leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator.
The Joint Team has developed a Joint UN Programme on AIDS to support Government of Kenya to implement the Kenya National AIDS Strategic Programme.
UNODC seeks to recruit a National Programme Officer to ensure the smooth and efficient support to the Government of Kenya.

Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in a health-related field, Psychology, Social Sciences or other related fields. A higher-level university degree (PhD or equivalent) may be substituted for two years of professional experience.
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years of relevant international experience - including management of technical cooperation assistance, extensive experience with HIV and AIDS programme response, and good experience working with government entities, NGOs and CBOs.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili is essential; working
- knowledge of French would be an added advantage.
