LOCATION: YTTC, Across Yei, South Sudan
Across is looking for a suitably qualified male or female to join the Organisation at Yei Teacher Training College (YTTC) as Land Cruiser / Tipper Driver and mechanic. The main roles of the driver are to drive, service and maintain the vehicles at the college and the Across Yei Location
Key Functions
¨ Provide needed driving and mechanical skills and logistical support to the location,
¨ Carry out minor service and maintenance of vehicles, motorcycles and generator regularly
¨ Actively monitor and give support in the movement of vehicles
¨ Perform duties and tasks related to building construction
¨ Keeping vehicle supplied with fuel
¨ Keeping an accurate record of mileage
¨ Reporting promptly to the Management any identified faults/accidents/damage to vehicle
¨ Ensuring that only authorised persons are permitted to drive organisation vehicle
Minimum Qualifications:
¨ 3 years experience in driving and working with vehicles under difficult road conditions
¨ Good mechanical knowledge of Lorries, cars, motorcycles and or generators.
¨ Accident free driving licence
¨ Secondary school leaver or its equivalent
¨ Mature Christian will be expected to be committed to the objectives/vision of ACROSS
¨ Able to develop and maintain good personal relationships and work as a part of a team
¨ Self motivated, Good communication skills using radio set
¨ Conversant with the culture and tradition of the local people
¨ Willing to learn, able to interact at all levels and respect cross-cultural values
