Cleaning Services Company Jobs in Kenya: Training Officer, Personal Assistant, Assistant Accountant and Driver/Messenger

Our client, a medium-sized organisation in cleaning services industry is looking to fill the following positions:

Training Officer

Reporting to the Human Resource Officer, the Training Officer will be responsible for developing training programs together with the Human Resource Manager and the Field Managers and Site Supervisors.

The training programs will cover aspects of cleaning, customer service, personal presentation, and re-fresher courses.

The key performance indicator for the Training Officer will be to ensure all employees have the requisite skills vis-à-vis their job posting and that their skills are kept current through re-fresher training.

The ideal incumbent for this role will have a Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration and will have at least 2 year working experience as a Training Coordinator or HR Assistant in a small to medium sized company.

The ideal candidate will be confident, self motivated, diligent, with the ability to pay attention.

He/she will be a good planner with complimenting organizational skills.

He/she will be a proven team player with excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.

The salary for this position starts at KShs 30,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.

Personal Assistant to the Managing Director

The Personal Assistant to the Managing Director will provide administrative support to the Managing Director.

Primary duties will include
  • managing the MD’s office and diary;
  • arranging logistics and travel arrangements around meetings and events;
  • preparing reports and presentations;
  • make follow up calls on proposals and quotations with various clients;
  • screening and routing all incoming calls and correspondence and responding to those which fall within the domain of this job;
  • maintaining an efficient filing system and contact database, etc.
The ideal candidate will be
  • an organised, flexible and mature individual with a pleasant and outgoing personality.
  • Presentable and self assured, the candidate will be an outstanding communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills.
  • He/she will be diplomatic in his/her approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure, deal with conflicting priorities and resolve issues amicability and decisively.
  • A creative individual the ideal candidate will be computer literate, highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
The salary for this position starts at KShs 30,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.

Assistant Accountant

The Assistant Accountant will report to the Chief Accountant.

He/she will be responsible for preparation of financial statements, debt collection, stock control, management of petty cash and bank reconciliations.

The ideal incumbent will be a graduate and will be part qualified, at least to Certified Public Accountant (CPA) II, with a minimum of three years work experience gained in a busy medium sized commercial environment.

He/she will be a confident, self motivated, individual, with the ability to pay attention to detail and a demonstrated concern for quality.

He/she will have good analytical skills; be results-oriented; a good planner with complimenting organizational skills.

Computer literacy is a fundamental requirement with working knowledge of financial accounting software, preferably QuickBooks as well as Ms Office, particularly advanced level Excel.

The salary for this position starts at KShs 25,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.

Driver/Messenger

Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, the Driver/Messenger will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely deliver of people, equipment, documents, and/or materials.

Our client is looking for a seasoned Driver/Messenger with at least 5 years experience driving a van/canter, company car, and motorbike, a clean driving licence, and some basic mechanical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, be courteous, helpful, and industrious, and will have some general experience providing support around an office environment.

He/she will have good knowledge of Nairobi and its environs and will have experience driving across the country.

The salary for this position starts at KShs 15,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.
