Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include, among others:
- Pricing tender documents
- Preparing preliminary cost estimates
- Estimating approximate quantities of materials for construction, preparing schedules for the same and matching consumption with measured works and variations. Analysing construction costs and act jointly with the purchasing dept to ensure optimization of cost, quantity and quality.
- Measuring works done and preparing application for payment, checking and analyzing approved valuations up to and including final accounts.
- Preparing and keeping updated projects’ financial appraisals
- Handling all technical and contractual correspondence to ensure that the Contractor’s rights are respected during the execution of a Project.
- Preparing and handling claims of any nature.
- Interacting with consultants, attending site meetings and any other related matters.
Key Qualifications
- A Degree or a Higher National Diploma in either of the following:
- Bachelor of Arts (Building Economics)
- Quantity Surveying.
- At least 3 years experience in a busy construction or consulting firm
- Age preferably between 30 and 40 years
- Computer literate in Excel/Word, Autocad an added advantage
