A client of ours who is one of the biggest retail food outlets is looking to hire a highly skilled Factory Manager with Experience in the same industry and a background in food science.

- People supervisory background( a team worker).
- Must come from and understand the food production industry.-bakery and pastry in particular
- Proven track record in managing a profitable production facility.
- Full understanding of costing templates and procedures.
- Must have managed dispatch and distribution
- Must have managed a 24 hr production facility
- Pragmatic Problem Solving Skills: Must be able to see problems simply and find effective and creative solutions.
- Business Development Skills: Must be focused on maximizing the output of the factory.
- Industry and Local Knowledge: Must understand local network, who's who in the production industry, relevant legislation and government contacts
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be a people’s person, good with people from but firm and fair. Understands the feelings, attitudes and concerns of others.
- Financial Skills: Ability to read financial statements.
- Technology Skills: Computer literate.
- Human Resources Management Skills: Leadership Skills, Team Building skills, Industrial Relations skills.
- Marketing & Selling Skills: Enforce and protect brand equity. Grow the brands through marketing efforts.
- Supply Chain Management: Rotation and management of stock levels.
- Internal Customer Focus: A continuous awareness of the customers’ perception of the product and a desire to delight the customer first.
- High Standards: Sets challenging, achievable goals and measures results; plans and develops actions to achieve challenging objectives for self and others.

- Food related higher diploma or Business Degree
