Jhpiego is an international non-profit health organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University. For 35 years, Jhpiego has empowered front-line health workers by designing and implementing effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions to strengthen the delivery of health care services for women and their families. By putting evidence-based health innovations into everyday practice, Jhpiego works to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the world's most vulnerable populations. Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzaania and wishes to fill the following positions:

Specific qualifications:

Minimum of a Masters Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or other relevant field Minimum 5 years working experience on communications and publications

Preferred knowledge of public health, including maternal and child health, HIV/ AIDS, etc.

Prior experience in developing media-related publications, public relations, editing and formatting, and organizing public events

Skills in desktop publishing

Excellent writing skills in English and Kiswahili - REQUIRED

Demonstrated self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability) Availability and willingness to travel within Tanzania

FOR ALL POSITIONS - Tanzanian nationals who have previous experience working with an international organization are preferred.
