CHIEF FINANCIAL OEFICER

JOB PURPOSE

Provide leadership and coordination of the company's financial planning, debt financcing, and budget management functions. Ensure all accounting procedures conform to the generally accepted accounting principles and standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will have the responsibility for:

• Directing the finance function of the company;

• Working with senior management, board of directors and related committees;

• Overseeing management of banking and custodial accounts and management of the company's cash surpluses in the most beneficial manner;

• Directing and supervising development, production, and promotion of department employees;

• Maintaining accurate accounting information systems; ensure that the policy and claim information systems accurately and seamlessly interface with accounting information systems;

• Presenting monthly reports and analysis of operating results including forecasts to senior management and the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board of Directors;

• Directing investment decisions within the company's policy and recommending changes to investment strategy;

• Preparing the company's internal and external financial statements on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis;

• Knowledge of pricing and reinsurance strategies, policy wordings and administration procedures processing of claims, payment of reinsurance premiums and recovery of reinsurance on claims.

• Planning for and directing all internal and external audits;

• Developing and implementing the company's annual financial plan.

• Development and implementation of a prudent procurement policy

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent.

At least 15 year's managerial experience in•the Insurance industry is vital. Exposure to Banking and Treasury Management. MIS. Corporate Governance. Risk Management. Bankers and Auditors.

Multi faceted experience with exposure to aspects of Bancassurance, Reinsurance along with managing of core Finance activities is highly desired.

Analytical ability & good numeric skills. Excellent relationship management skills, Customer Sensitivity and skills to deal with brokers. A good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as MS Office, Excel, 'Word etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English is absolutely essential.
