- Assistant Pack House Manager 1 Post
The Assistant Pack House Manager is in charge of the day- to day running of the pack house and is charged with daily organization of the pack house in order to meet production targets.
Duties
· Ensure that all production targets are met and clients’ orders are processed on time as per their specification
· Maintain proper shift closure and discipline of pack house staff
· Control wastage in terms of labour and raw materials
· Advice the Operations Department on problems/ challenges encountered that may affect proper and timely dispatch of orders
· Maintain the record attendance of 5-day working week for pack house casual labour
· Maintain the productivity index (Labour Cost/ Processed Kgs) as required.
· Managing the Performance of the pack house staff
· Ensure there is continuous improvement of productivity by building strong teams and promoting teamwork at the pack house and other departments
· Ensure that the stem is graded (sorted by quality and size) and stored according to the specifications of the market and its safety regulations
· Analyze and report on production and financial data
· Ensuring compliance to standards e.g. European (Haccp) and (BRC)
Requirements for Appointment
· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science/ Horticulture or equivalent
· Minimum of five (5) years of horticultural farm pack house management experience two (2) of which must be at senior level.
· Proven track record of pack house (flowers) administration.
