Senior Policy Officer Economy

The Senior Policy Officer is responsible primarily for policy, and advice as well as project management. Contribute to monitoring, evaluating and analyzing developments in the areas of public finance management, public expenditure review, PRBS, etc and translating these in proposals for new/changed policy and assessing implications for existing policy.



Requirements

Tertiary education (Bachelors/Masters Degree) in Economics or related field.

At least 4 - 5 years of relevant experience

Knowledge of political and social views concerning Public Fund Management and macro-economics in general and the situation in Tanzania in particular

Experience and skills in translating insights and information into policy recommendations, advice, plans and reports and assessing policies and financial implications.

Acquainted with methods / procedures of GoT and relevant international organization (World Bank, IFM)

Knowledge of policy research methods and techniques

Self confident with sound communication and interpersonal skills Computer literate (MS Office packages)

Excellent oratory and written skills in both English and Kiswahili Must be a Tanzanian
