Person Profile
Applicants should meet the following requirements.
- Hold Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance option) and CPA (K) or equivalent.
- They must have at least ten years work experience in a large organization, three (3) of which should be at a position Chief Accountant preferably in an academic institution.
- Applicants who have served in positions not lower than that of Senior Accountant will also be considered.
- They should have a working knowledge of Financial Information Systems and conversant with various accounting packages and must have a hands on experience in financial planning
The successful candidate will be the Head of the Finance Department of the University.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, he/she will be expected to advise the University Management and the Governing Council on all financial matters and will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Formulation and implementation of sound financial policies, strategies and systems
- Forecasting, budgeting and reporting financial requirements
- Timely and accurate production of financial and management accounts
- Managing performance budget for all University activities
- Managing of staff within the department

- Must be a Senior Lecturer and above and should have also served as Head/Chair of a Department, Director or as a Dean of an Institute, School or Faculty.
- Should be conversant with University academic and administrative structures.
- Demonstrate leadership ability in developing academic programmes and related activities.
- Must have published widely in their area of specialization.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership in the following areas:
- Development of academic excellence in the School’s teaching, research, curriculum development, consultancy and community services.
- Develop and Implement strategic plan of the school in consultations with members of the school.
- Provide administrative and academic leadership in the school.
- Marketing of academic programmes in the school.

- General administration of the campus
- Effective management of teaching programmes
- Develop and Implement strategic plan of the Campus
- Establishment and maintenance of good relations with stakeholders in NakuruTown
- Coordinate students recruitment and marketing of academic programmes.
- Marketing of programmes
- Management of staff in the Campus.
Grade KABU 7

Person Profile
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelors Degree Media studies and Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations or Mass Communication and at least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- They should be in possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills and conversant with relevant aspects of Information Communication and Technology.
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
- Initiating, developing and implementing appropriate public relations strategies to enable the University to earn and deserve a favourable reputation.
- Responsible for effective monitoring of press coverage and dissemination of information regarding University through newspapers, periodicals, brochures, and electronic media.
- Developing and sustaining relations with the media and other University stakeholders.
- Responsible for writing of speeches for the Vice-Chancellor
- Responsible for publication of a University magazine.
- Involved in the planning and organization of University functions and exhibitions.
- Provide administrative support to Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
- Serve as a Personal Assistant to the Vice- Chancellor.
