Title  : Project Manager
Unit/Dept : Programs
Reporting to : Programs Director
To Supervise : Education Field Coordinators
Duty Station : Juba with frequency travel to the field offices.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Purpose of position:
  • Provide managerial support to the project team.
  • Overall management and implementation of Education Project.
  • Responsible for over all project matters such as day to day management, resource management
  • Responsible for project reporting
 
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
  1. Provides management leadership in the project through co-ordination, supervision, and implementation of project activities and supervision of staff in the project.
  2. Plans, implements, monitors and evaluates project activities including:
  • Preparing project work plans and budgets on annual and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assigning work on project implementation and undertaking continuous coordination and monitoring of the project activities.
  • Designing and implementing research and development activities.
  1. Disseminates project information by preparing and disseminating project reports on a regular basis.
  1. Provides financial management for the project including:
  • Control of project resources.
  • Approve and monitor project expenditures for other project staff.
  • Submit timely narrative progress reports.
  1. Acts as the key contact for the project to:
  • Maintain regular communication with members of the project management team and other members of the country Programmes.
  • Initiate and maintain collaboration with other actors on the ground.
  • Submit progress reports to key partners.
  1. Ensures programme integration and growth by participating in country meetings and developing new project initiatives.
  1. Undertakes other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience in Training, Human Resource Development and knowledge in relevant project and management skills
  • Bachelors degree in Education, Diploma or any other related field.
  • Willingness to work as a member of the team and to undertake a wide variety of responsibilities according to program needs.
  • Mature and responsible
  • To be familiar with and abide by ADRA Sudan – Southern Sector Code of Conduct.
  • Experience working with the local government departments and ability to work both as motivating member and leader of a diverse team
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years professional experience, with supervisory responsibility of Project Managemant.
  • Excellent communication skills.
