Community Coordinator - Aphia North Eastern


We are an international NGO implementing a large, multi-year health sector program. We are seeking a talented and hardworking individual to be a part of a dynamic team committed to improving the lives of men, women and children in North Eastern province. The position will be based in Garissa.


Community Coordinator


The Community Coordinator will foster and strengthen linkages between communities and health facilities for improved access to quality services. S\he will facilitate the collection of community level data and reporting on same. Provide liaison and technical assistance to project partners, including international, national and local NGOs and CBOs; religious and traditional leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of diploma in social sciences
  • 5-7 years of experience in public health, HIV/AIDS, community development and/or youth/OVCs
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in use of participatory action and learning approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team player
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in greater Garissa
  • Fluency in English and Somali
