Ripples International (RI) is a faith based, non- profit Religious Trust organization with a mission to serve children.

We, by this notice, invite applications for a post of Office Assistant.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

Job Profile
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to Ripples International main office as required.
  • Develop, set up, and document office secretarial systems related to: filing of documents, records management, communications (telephone, fax, and correspondence), supplies management, typing, photocopying, handling petty cash and reporting on behalf of the admin department and other basic office services while ensuring confidentiality of all matters and documents.
  • Receive, screen, and process calls, mail, fax, telex, and other incoming and outgoing communications; ensuring that confidential matters are handled properly liaising with the supervisor.
  • Receive and attend to visitors or clients to the main office schedule and appointments accordingly.
  • Assist in the logistics needs of official visitors to RI
  • Receive documents and messages which may be delivered to or from the staff, ensuring that these are promptly presented to the relevant staff.
  • Liaise with the office cleaner and ensure that the main office is kept neat and tidy, so as to maintain the good image of the organization.
  • Good Knowledge of transport and fleet management.
  • Good Knowledge of store keeping and asset tracking.
  • Maintain proper Assets records of all assets located in the Main Office ensuring documentation of any asset movement.
  • Respond to general queries for information where appropriate with consultation from the supervisor.
Personal Profile

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:

A mature born again Christian, actively involved in the activities of a local church with:
  • Must minimum professional qualification of diploma in Administration or Diploma in Secretarial Studies with at least 3 years experience in administration and/or secretarial support services, preferably with an NGO.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of office systems, including experience with computer applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, database management) required.
  • Basic accounting is an added advantage
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as supervisory experience.
  • Adaptability and flexibility and able to work with minimum supervision and long hours including weekends and holidays when necessary or requested of by supervisor.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written is essential.
  • A strong team player, cross-cultural and religious sensitivity, creative and innovative.
  • Must be willing to participate in morning devotions held at Ripples International
  • Must be aged between 25-35 years
