Key Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:-
Job Profile
- Identification and selection of needy children from the Community in collaboration with representatives from the community and other collaborators.
- Carry out home visits to collect data, compile case histories and profiles of identified beneficiaries.
- Distribution of supplies to beneficiaries.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of beneficiaries.
- Liaison with various educational institutions and individuals that the organization is partnering/ collaborating with.
- Assist in identification of social and health services for beneficiaries.
- Identification of new trends in the community and provision of relevant statistics.
- Reporting on all activities and making recommendations as necessary.
- Support in the preparation and execution of departmental and organization budgets, strategic plans and work plans
- Ensuring smooth running of all community based activities.
Personal Profile
- Must have motor bike riding license or willing to obtain one before joining the organization
- Minimum Professional qualification: Diploma in Community Development or Social Work from a recognized institution with at least 2 years post qualification work experience.
- Minimum Academic Qualification: KCSE scored Grade C and above.
- At least 3 years work experience in a busy NGO/CBO preferably dealing with OVCs and people living with HIV
- Must have report writing SKILLS with at least two years working experience in a relevant field
- Must have computer aptitude and experience with word processing, database management, spread sheet software and PowerPoint applications
- Experience in capacity building of local communities or training and/or knowledge on HIV/AIDS will be an added advantage.
- Experience of working in rural areas.
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
- Ability to carry out social and community mobilization.
- Experience with child related projects will be an added advantage.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks.
- Adaptability and flexibility and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both verbal and written essential. Knowledge of Kimeru will be an added advantage.
- Enthusiastic, a strong team player, creative and innovative.
- A mature born again Christian who is actively involved in a local church
- Must be willing to participate in morning devotions held at Ripples International
- Must be aged between 25-35 years
