Purpose/role of the job
The software developer is responsible for developing software and also installation of software at the
clients' premises.
Reporting
This position will report to the Project Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Software development - programming
Software deployment: Installation of software application, database and all the accompanying
and supportive (development tools)software on client servers and Test PCs
Software deployment: Migration of Data
Software deployment: Customization of software to meet Clients needs/ requirements
Maintenance: Trouble shooting and providing solutions to any problems encountered by the
client in using software
Enhancements: Developing solutions to meet new needs presented by clients
Reporting: Completing report schedules with information on various tasks performed on
software
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Three years experience working with ASP or ASP.NET, SQL server 2000 or 2005, Visual
Basic or above
Innovative and result oriented
Ability to work in a team
Understanding of Customer Service and customer relations mandatory
Understanding of the local stock brokerage industry will be a definite advantage
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Will also be required to work at clients' sites as well for extended periods
of time.
