Main Purpose of Job
Ensure that security is maintained at the company premises, company vehicles and facilities are managed in a cost effective manner that adds value to the business objectives of the company. To also oversee the security function to ensure safety of the company property, premises & staff
Main Responsibilities
1. To be in charge of security management at the company premises by:
- Devising, implementing and reviewing systems for detection and prevention of criminal activities within the company premises
- Conducting internal investigations for suspected criminal activities, i.e theft, fraud, wilful damage to property within company, accidents involving company motor vehicles and report the same to management
- Oversee security aspects of the factory, office administration block, canteen, car park, warehouse and safe keeping of all company keys
- Supervising sub-contracted company guards to ensure that they perform their duties diligently as per contract with supplier
- To liaise with law enforcement authorities i.e. Kenya police, law court etc for investigations, arrest and prosecution of suspected person- to liaise closely with the Regional Legal Manager and the Regional Security Manager on this.
2. To manage company property and premises by
- Ensuring proper usage and maintenance of the companies fleet of vehicles and over see maintenance of the car park
- Managing company premises in terms of access control, reception area, general maintenance and beautification of office premises etc.
- Ensuring high facilities and building systems availability and optimal maintenance status
- Developing budgets for premises to meet on going and future business
requirements
- Co-ordinating with Regional Chief Engineer and Factory Manager/Engineer on any related company premises issues
Dimensions / KPIs
Highly quality maintenance and excellent appearance of premises
Arrest of culprits and investigation of criminal activities within company premises
Advising management on pre-emptive security measures
Vetting of all persons/vehicles entering/leaving the company premises
Required Qualifications
· University degree · Qualification in facility management / Security Management will be and added advantage · Military/Police background will be a definite advantage · The individuals should be very presentable, Diplomatic and very good problem solvers. · The individuals should also be well rounded and have first aid training and other life skills knowledge. · The individual should have supervised a team of at least 30 people · Hospitality Experience is highly desired. |
