Media Monitoring and Training Supervisor: Media Council of Kenya Jobs

Overall Purpose of the Position

To supervise the media monitoring and training unit of the Council in a manner that develops, maintains and continually improves the Council image and reputation to stakeholders and partners.

Duties

• To supervise media monitoring and to guide media monitors and interns to ensure strict adherence to the monitoring principles.
• To conduct regular research on training needs of the media and conceptualise and training accordingly.
• Coordinate the Council training activities both in-house and externally.
• Coordinate the writing and production of the annual State of the Media Report.
• Motivate the monitors by consistently and continually monitoring, guiding, encouraging and training them to achieve the highest professional and ethical standards in their work.

Qualifications

• University degree in Journalism
• Post graduate qualification in project management and proposal writing an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years experience in Media Monitoring and/or Research

1 year renewable contract
