Web  Management & Design (2 Internship Positions) 
Kenya Youth Parliament is looking for suitable candidates for an exciting Internship (Web Developers & Managers Assistant) opportunity. The Interns will report to the Program Officer- Good Governance & Reform Program, and will be responsible for creating a website on an event planned later in the year; manage the website for the  event taking place in Nairobi, policing the information flow, Managing an online social  network/Discussion forum which brings together KYP Partners and grassroots youth organizations, taking polls, analyzing, summarizing and collating the information and creating success indicators; Developing online records and tracking all event related documentation for the Program Officer.

  • Excellent communication,  planning and organizing  skills
  • Working effectively and cooperatively with others toward shared goals, establishing and maintaining principle-centered working relationship
  • Understanding the socio-cultural, historical, and economic context within which KYP operates  and integrating the organization’s approach with awareness of National trends

Required skills and qualifications
  • University graduate with B.Sc. Priority will be given to those with specific knowledge on Computer systems, networking, Web Management & Design
  • Excellent  Documentation skills
  • Good data management background
  • Applicants should be recent graduates, within the last 18 months
 
The intern will be based in Nairobi. This internship opportunity will run for a period of six months. Closing date for receiving applications will be Tuesday 18th May, 2010. Short listed applicants will be contacted by 21st May, 2010.
