Immediate Openings 

IRD has recently received a 12 month grant from the US State Department Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration to implement a food security and livelihood program for Sudanese returnees in Jonglei and Upper Nile states.  IRD is seeking: 

one (1) local hire Food Security Program Officer (Maban, Upper Nile State) 

two (2) local hire Project Field Officers (Maban, Upper Nile State and Duk, Jonglei State) 

To be hired no later than 15 May 2010 to assist the Program Manager to implement the BPRM funded program, IRD is seeking qualified candidates who have: 

• a B.S. or technical certificate in Agricultural Science and/or related field and
• at least 2 years of experience in food security and/or agricultural program implementation
• high-energy, initiative and strong organizational skills.
• ability to work independently and pay special attention to detail.
• prior working knowledge of Sudan. 
• excellent English oral and written capacity (required).
