We are an agricultural State Corporation specializing in tea and forestry production. We urgently seek to recruit dynamic individuals to fill the following positions:-
1. Job Title: Marketing Manager
(1 Post)

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Managing Director, the officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining
marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing marketing policies and strategies for the Corporation
  • Research for new markets for the Corporations products
  • Liaise with key stakeholders for purposes of ensuring proper marketing of the Corporation’s products
  • Coordinate new marketing techniques and diversification of the products
  • Ensure Compliance with regulations governing the marketing of Corporations products
  • Researching and implementation of value addition to match the changing customer needs
  • Preparation of annual marketing plans
  • To manage the Marketing Department Budget and deliver all marketing activities within the agreed budget
  • Taste, analyze and give advice to the production units for improvement of product quality
  • Coordinate, analyze and avail data and information concerning the product to internal and external customers.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships to ensure a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • B.Com degree (marketing option) or any other related area from a recognized institution;
  • Possession of MBA is an added advantage
  • Must possess Proven Marketing skills and be Computer Literate
  • Must have 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the industry
  • Be 45 years or below
2. Job Title: Green Leaf Logistics Coordinator
(1 Post)

Job purpose: Reporting to the Factory unit Manager, the officer will perform the activities relating to Coordination of
green leaf collection and delivery from the Corporation’s farms and out growers to the factory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route planning
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of vehicles
  • Coordination of green leaf collection and delivery
  • Proper maintenance of green leaf records
  • Effective utilization of resources and Cost Control
  • Enhanced positive corporate image
  • Maintain records of out-growers and ensure they are paid in time.
  • Preparation of accurate reports for the Factory unit manager
Minimum Requirements
  • Bsc. or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
  • Diploma in management is an added advantage.
  • Must be Computer Literate.
  • Must have 5 years of experience in Transport and logistics management especially in tea manufacturing environment.
  • Be 45 years or below.
3. Job Title: Accountant
(1 Post)

Job Purpose: Reporting to Factory unit Manager, the officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance of all Budgeting, financial transactions and records as per approved policies, procedures and control systems.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of accurate books of accounts.
  • Preparation of timely and accurate management reports.
  • Effective cost control and preparation of monthly cost reports and analysis.
  • Effective utilization of available resources.
  • Timely preparation of financial reports, including annual accounts.
  • Safe custody of accountable information and all factory documents.
  • Coordinating and preparing the factory annual budget.
Minimum Requirements
  • B.Com (Accounting Option) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution
  • Must be in possession of CPA (K) qualification
  • Diploma in management is an added advantage
  • Must be Computer Literate
  • Must have 5 years of relevant experience

4. Job Title: Data Clerk

Job Purpose: Reporting to Accountant, the officer will be responsible for ensuring timely availability and reliability of warehouse information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capturing data and inputting in the computer
  • Preparing information as per approved procedures
  • Updating stocks accounts as per approved procedures
  • Posting transaction to appropriate accounts as per approved procedures
  • Generating reports on stock balances
  • Generating reports as and when required
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C
  • Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution

5. Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Purpose: The officer will be responsible for Provision of support services to the Factory Unit Manager, for proper administration and effective running of the Factory Unit in line with factory objectives and functions.

  • Ensure positive Factory image
  • Effective Customer service
  • Safe custody of accountable information and all factory documents
  • Timely availability of quality information
  • Effective running of the office
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C
  • Must possess Diploma in secretarial studies from a recognized institution
  • Must have 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be Computer Literate
  • Be 35 years or below
6. Job Title: Factory Supervisors

(2 Posts)

Job Purpose: Reporting to Production Manager, the officers will be responsible for maintenance of safety, supervision of factory workers for effective production of high quality tea.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocating and supervision of duties to workers and managing their welfare
  • Liaison between workers and management for effective communication
  • Ensuring effective cost control
  • Implementing production plans and strategies as per approved policies
  • Maintaining accurate production records and information
  • Ensuring effective utilization of labour and production resources and minimizing any loss
  • Requisitioning required material for effective management and supervision of production
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C.
  • Diploma in food science or any other related field from a recognized institution.
  • Must have 3 years of relevant experience in production or supervision.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Be 30 years or below.
7. Job Title: Motor-vehicle Mechanics

Job Purpose: Reporting to Plant Technician, the officers will be responsible for effective and efficient maintenance
of motor vehicle and equipment in order to meet set standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensuring maintenance and repairs of equipment and transport facilities as per set quality standards and specifications.
  • Carrying out comparative estimate cost of repairs and maintenance of motor vehicle and equipment.
  • Ensuring timely implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring that the cost of repairs is maintained within approved levels
  • Attending to breakdown of equipment and motor vehicle in the factory.
  • Conducting trouble shooting of motor vehicle and equipment.
  • Coordinating installation of new equipment and commissioning within the set standards.
  • Initiating purchases of motor vehicle spare parts required for repairs.
  • Carrying out repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems of motor vehicle/equipment.

  • Report any damages and replacement immediately
  • Ensure timely Inspection, testing, repair, maintenance and service of electrical machinery and equipments.
  • Proper record keeping of all factory electrical machinery and equipment
  • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
  • Ensure provision of Safe working conditions within the factory and eliminate hazards and risks.

  • Develop Maintenance and servicing schedules for the boiler equipment
  • Ensure timely Inspection, testing, repair, maintenance and service of factory boiler
  • Proper record keeping of the boiler equipment
  • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of factory boiler machinery
  • Ensure provision of Safe working conditions within the boiler factory house and eliminate hazards and risks.
  • Prepare and avail information and reports on all activities
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C
  • Must possess National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution,
  • Must have 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

11. Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose: Reporting to Accountant, the officer will be responsible for ensuring effective accounting of receipts and cash transactions as per approved policies, procedures and control systems in the factory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing timely and accurate reports.
  • Timely and accurate receipting of cash and Cheques from clients.
  • Carrying out cash reconciliation of receipt and banking as per approved procedures.
  • Ensuring that all cash receipts are controlled, recorded and balanced in the cashbook.
  • Prompt and accurate updating of customers accounts and issuing of monthly statements.
  • Following up on reimbursement and surrender of imprest as per approved procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C
  • Must be in possession of CPA II

12. Job Title: Zone Coordinator

Job Purpose: Reporting to Head of Agriculture, the officer will be responsible for ensuring continuous improvement
of performance standards of production units and forest conservation activities and enhancement utilization of
resources and achievement of Corporation objectives and goals in the production of green leaf tea.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the performance of all green leaf production units and forest conservation in the assigned zone
  • Enhancing quality standards of green leaf and forest conservation as per policies and specifications
  • Implementing of agricultural and forest conservation plans and strategies as per approved policies
  • Ensuring effective utilization of available resources
  • Participating in the preparation of budge and control in the zone
  • Supervising, appraising staff and identifying their development and training needs
  • Preparing timely and accurate reports and distributing to appropriate users
  • Monitoring and reviewing the production and forest conservation level against set targets
  • Training employees on production methods, process standards and specifications green leaf and forest conservation
  • Planning and implementing transport system for green leaf collection and delivery to the factories
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of transport fleet
  • Managing welfare of the employees in the field
Minimum Requirements
  • BSc. in Agriculture or any other related qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Diploma in Management.
  • Must be Computer Literate.
  • Must have 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Be 40 years or below.
13. Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

(1 Post)

Job Purpose: Reporting to Senior Coordinator – Procurement & Supplies, the officer will be responsible for ensuring timely and constant availability of required supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring adherence to material quality requirements as specified by users.
  • Participating in reviewing and establishing operational policies and procedures in purchasing.
  • Maintaining updated database of suppliers.
  • Maintaining updated suppliers’ performance register.
  • Ensuring proper and updated records for purchased items indicating order, price and quantities.
  • Managing of contract either long term or short term as per approved procedures and policies.
  • Receiving and reviewing requisition for accuracy and completeness.
  • Processing import documents/licenses as per order required.
Minimum Requirements
  • KCSE C+
  • Must possess Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution
  • Must have 3 years of relevant experience
  • Be 35 years or below
  • Must be Computer Literate
