Press Technician: Nation Media Group Jobs in Kenya

Job Ref: HR- PT- 02-2010

Nation Media Group, the leading multimedia house in East and Central Africa wishes to recruit a qualified candidate to fill the position of Press Technician.

The overall purpose of the role will be to operate the press and auxiliary equipments to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:

* Operation of the reel stand, plateroom equipment and printing press
* Ink and paper analysis in the lab
* Operation of the technotrans and the ink pumps
* Generation of production reports
* Minor maintenance of equipments

Knowledge and skills required:

* Diploma in Machine Printing;
* At least two years’ experience
* ‘O’ level education; must have minimum grade “C” in Math and English
* Computer literate;
* Motivated and focused on target achievement
* Creative with an eye for detail; and
* Able to work long hours with minimum supervision
