The USAID Kenya Pharma Project is responsible for the establishment and operation of a safe, secure, reliable and sustainable supply chain management system for pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment needed to provide care and treatment of persons with HIV/AIDS in Kenya.
Kenya Pharma’s role is to forecast, quantify, procure, warehouse and distribute (ARV) drugs, drugs for opportunistic infections and other essential medical supplies and equipment. Kenya Pharma is seeking to fill two field agent positions.
The Field agent is the key contact with supported health facilities; gathering data for Kenya Pharma to assist in accurate forecasting and quantification for the procurement of necessary HIV-related commodities.
She/he will support health facility staff to ensure monthly ARV consumption data and pharmaceutical orders are transmitted properly to enable on-time deliveries.
Additionally, they will work to provide customer service to the facilities by gathering and channeling concerns on the effectiveness of the supply chain.
The Field agents will be based in Nyanza and Western provinces of Kenya.

This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned health facilities are well supported and stocked to meet Kenya Pharma objectives.
More specifically, the position holder will:
- Collect information on ART patients per regimen and report data on stock position, treatment targets and future medicine requirements.
- Monitor storage conditions and capacity of assigned health facilities.
- Submit monthly operations report to regional manager highlighting key issues requiring immediate follow up at facilities and feedback from health facilities to improve service delivery.
Specific Qualifications
- A Bachelors science degree holder
- 2-3 years experience working handling pharmaceutical products in Kenya
- Good understanding of the health systems in Kenya especially government health facilities an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Excellent written, oral communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs).
