As part of its contract-based supply services, the Company has a vacancy for an experienced, multi-lingual Facility Manager. The position will be located in Khartoum.
BASIC PURPOSE:
Management of multiple Facility Management contract of various complexities ranging from cleaning and janitorial to electrical maintenance. Member of the senior management team, the FM manager is expected to be a leading figure for all the staff
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Electrical equipment - Apply electrical & electronic theories and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants and laboratories. Install and maintain electrical control systems and solid state equipment.
• Construction - Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction.
• Other facility services - Supervise, monitor, control and other services pertaining to the daily operations of the project
• Inspection / audit - Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations. Review existing engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material.
• Work plan - Plan, schedule and monitor work of support personnel to fulfil the tasks to be fulfilled as part of the contract. Perform supervisory duties such as recommending work assignments, approving leaves and completing performance evaluations. Record information as part of the contract in line with company policy
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, Health and safety
• Business Development - Take the necessary initiative to develop new range of services to capture additional contract or increase revenue within the contract
• Support the country manager in writing proposals when it comes to technical aspects
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will be expected to have:
Skills
• Computers and Electronics -- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Engineering and Technology -- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Design -- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
• Production and Processing -- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective Management and control of the project.
• Public Safety and Security -- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
EXPERIENCE
• At least 4 year(s) working experience in a related field is required for this position.
• Candidate should have knowledge of programmable logic controller.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Computer literate
