Senior Laboratory Analysts
2 positions
Qualifications & Experience:
* BSc Degree or HND in Analytical Chemistry /Biochemistry.
* Minimum 4 years experience in a busy pesticides residues analysis laboratory using high end GC-MS and LC-MS techniques.
* Demonstrate detailed understanding of modern chromatography techniques and have extensive knowledge of chromatographic sample preparation in food, water and soil matrices.
* Ability to perform routine Gas & Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry analyses, as well as perform routine maintenance on instrumentation.
* Good interpretation of GC-MS /LC-MS data and processing of results. The ability to interpret data for field studies and research work will be essential for these positions.
* Deliver thorough applications solutions for various samples preparation with GC-MS/ LC-MS and detection methods.
* Demonstrate clear knowledge of GC-MS/LC-MS Quality Control and acceptance criteria in the laboratory analysis processes.
* Develop applications and validate data to improve proficiency in testing new and existing samples in support of field studies.
* Be familiar with local and international test methods for trace elements and residue analysis in environmental work.
* Have a good understanding of experimental designs and be well-versed in the scientific method of cross data correlation and interpretation techniques.
* Good knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001:2008, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) systems and quality control processes with a strong bias in statistical quality control.
* Good skills in procedure writing, data interpretation and report writing
* Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Be at least 28 years of age.
