Department: Sales & Distribution
Reports to: Sales and Distribution Manager
Summary
To manage the company’s fleet in order to maximize the fleet availability in a cost effective manner
Primary Responsibilities
* Fleet management
* Route plan efficiency
* Supplier management
* Statutory compliance
* People management
* Management reporting & budgeting
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
* Appropriate qualification , diploma or degree with 5 years experience in Fleet Maintenance/Management
* Knowledge of vehicles and spares/parts supply chain
* Stock control & logistics
* Planning techniques to ensure availability of vehicles
* Hands on experience with fleet tracking system
* Sound negotiating skills
* Analytical skills
* High level of attention to detail
* Commercial competence
* Ability to persuade and influence
* Good written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
* Working conditions are normal for a conducive office environment.
* Work requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
