Assistant Livestock Manager job in Kenya

Our client is a leading extensively integrated large scale estate in the Coast region of Kenya. The Company is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following position

Assistant Livestock Manager
The holder will be responsible for:
·1 Duty allocation and supervision
·2 Marketing of livestock
·3 Selection and purchase of breeding stocks
·4 Feed formulation and determining rations
·5 Co-ordinating vaccination, drenching, docking, etc
·6 Assist in designing range improvement programmes
·7 Maintain records of breeding, births, deaths, vaccination calendar, sales etc.

Ideal candidates shall possess:
·1 At least a Diploma in range or livestock management
·2 Good communication and interpersonal skills
·3 Sound knowledge of livestock diseases
·4 Supervisory and management skills
·5 2 years experience in livestock supervision
