VACANT POSITION FOR FOOD SECURITY OFFICER
Church and Development (C&D) is a humanitarian and development church-related agency working currently in the fields of Education, Food Security and Water and Sanitation, especially in Bor County, Jongelei State, South Sudan. C&D is in the process of strengthening its operations and, therefore, seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced person to fill the position of Food Security Officer. This is a senior managerial position and, therefore, requires, but not limited to, the following qualities:
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: diploma in agriculture from a recognised college or university and with a strong field background in farming and training of farmers in diversified crops and farming methods
- Minimum: three-year working experience in agricultural projects with a reputable NGO (s) and/or government; demonstrated ability to plan and execute food security projects
- Experience in proposal writing for grant funding, sound projects implementation, following all acceptable procedures, and report writings
- SKILLS
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English and other languages, especially Arabic and Dinka
- At least minimum basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Appropriate driving skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good managerial and financial skills (financial skills, an added value)
- ABILITIES
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision
- Self-motivated
- Result-oriented and a team player
