Job Title: HIV/AIDS Specialist
Location: Nasir, Upper Nile State
Reporting to: Field Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities
- Train and build capacity of project staffs (HIV & AIDS Resource Center Manager and HIV/AIDS Awareness Facilitator)s on the implementation of the HIV/AIDS related activities
- Conduct the training of HIV/AIDS to CHWs and teachers in consultation with Field Coordinator
- Advice on the setting up of the Resource Center
- Draw a plan of continuation or expansion of the HIV/AIDS awareness activities
- Work closely with Field Coordinator on the facilitation of the project activities
- Provide necessary knowledge and resources to enable project staff implement the project
- Request materials and items to be purchased for HIV/AIDS awareness activities.
- Mobilize NGOs and community for the world AIDS day activities
- Suggest Project Manager for purchase/service requisition or report any other matter in consultation with Field Coordinator in a good time
- Compile reports of the health sessions (locations, the number of participants during the health session, lessons learned) with cooperation with Field Coordinator
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor or designated representative
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Studies or related field
- 4 years experience in project coordination, ideally in the health-related sector
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, Emails, Power Point)
- Excellent in written and spoken English, knowledge of Arabic/Nuer advantage
- Excellent in reporting and elaborating the project progress
- Good interpersonal communication and coordination skills
- Good knowledge of HIV/AIDS
