Coffee Research Foundation is a State Corporation whose mandate is to research, develop and disseminate appropriate technologies for enhanced productivity, quality and value addition.

The Foundation invites applications from qualified persons for the following post

Chief Accountant

Basic Requirements for appointment

• Be in possession of at least a Bachelors degree in Commerce (Accounting option) or its equivalent from a recognized university and be a Certified Public Accountant (K).
• Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.
• Must have at least ten (10) years accounting experience in a busy environment.
• Must be proficient in ICT applications and with working knowledge of accounting packages.
• Experience in Financial management
• Knowledge of internal control procedures and ability to improve them.
• Applicants must be aged between 35 and 45 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Chief Accountant shall be responsible to the Director of Research

The responsibilities will include:

• Review of financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance to accounting standards
• Cash flow management
• Prepare financial and management reports
• Manage the asset register
• Prepare budgets and final accounts
• Liaise with external auditors
• Custodian of accountable documents
• Review and implement proper internal control systems.
