Category Demand & Supply Planner

Job Purpose

· To provide an integrated set of demand and supply planning processes which will satisfy the customer service requirements derived from final demand plans, while optimising the total logistics cost and resources of the company for import/export and domestic in the assigned product categories. To assist Business unit for all Supply Chain related areas.
Description:

· Provide strategic direction and develop sustainable cost effective & competitive sourcing and manufacturing solutions and structures to match the business expectations.

· Ensure high quality demand and supply projection and reliability for short, medium and long terms.

· Actively participate in Sales and Marketing Meeting on past month performance and future demand and supply situation outlook.

· Ensure effectiveness of Monthly Forecast Review Meeting with Marketing & Sales to agree upon the consensus demand plan.

· Ensure effectiveness of monthly Production Review Meeting with Manufacturing, Purchasing and Marketing to review the future production plan and concerned issues.

· Manage exceptional situations, such as exceptional stock allocation, production priorities, production changes, promotion changes, aging stock, etc.

· Review Demand & Supply planning KPls; take corrective actions for improvement.

· Ensure a high level of production achievement and optimum stock cover within company objectives; minimise stock shortage and write-off.

· Ensure timely reporting.

· Analyse gaps between Operational Plan and Demand Plan at business unit level and raise the gaps of major product category to the top management for further corrective actions.

· Work with Marketing & Sales and Management Accounting to prepare Operational Plan at product category and SKU levels.

· Monitor Master Production Schedule performance and import arrival plan to ensure product availability for domestic sales and export markets while keeping stock at optimum or agreed level.

· Ensure on-time launch of new product projects especially for import and export products

· Ensure efficient cooperation with other supply chain functions

· Ensure strict implementation of Best Practises related to Demand and Supply Planning / IMPS
Requirements:

· Tertiary qualifications in Statistics and Project Management

· Sound Sales and Marketing knowledge

· Strong analytical skills with strong communication, persuasive and presentation skills,

· Strategic and forward thinking individual

· Leadership skills with experience in conflict management

· Strong decision-making and Problem solving abilities

· Staff management skills; experience in interactive management and coaching skills
