Account Manager

Summary: Smart Solar (K) Limited provides innovative solar power products targeted at the poorer segment of Kenya’s population. The solar industry is an exciting and rapidly growing business, providing excellent career opportunities and the great satisfaction of having a positive impact on the environment. This position is responsible to the Senior Sales Engineer, and s/he will be charged with creating and developing on-going business relationships with our business clients. S/he will maintain and develop client accounts for NGO’s and businesses in our database and provide regular input on all account activity. This is a dynamic and fast paced position with growth opportunities.
Description: • Maintaining, developing and enhancing existing clients/customer relationships
• Working closely with the client to identify potential issues and opportunities
• Joint marketing and promotion initiatives.
• Acts as Customer liaison between the client and Warehouse Department for product delivery
• Organizational involvement
Requirements: • Minimum Bachelors degree in Commerce/Administration – Marketing option • Minimum 3 years of Account management experience. • Previous loans officer experience in a Microfinance Institution. • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships. • Excellent report-writing, analytical and project management skills • Excellent communication skills. • Strong active listening and questioning skills. • Ability to lead a project using own initiative and working as part of a team. • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities. • Strong computers skills in MS Office suite.
