Summary: Amboni Plantations Limited, which owns the Mwera, Sakura and Kigombe sisal estates, is the largest producer of sisal fibre in Tanzania. The company is part of a major international plantation group that is expanding its operations in Tanzania and elsewhere.

Amboni Plantations is seeking to recruit an Engineer to be resident on one of its sisal estates who will have responsibility for the servicing and maintenance of all equipment on the estate including processing machinery, motor vehicles, water supply and civil works. The Engineer will be responsible to the Group Technical Manager.

Description:
Requirements: The ideal candidate should have at least two years experience in a managerial position in a busy workshop or processing factory and should have had some formal training in engineering or a related subject. Experience of sisal processing is not essential but experience of supervising teams of mechanics and/or other artisans in a busy workshop environment is required. The candidate must be well organized, have good communication skills and should be capable of using initiative.
