Permanent management level position in the Engineering sector in Centurion in South Africa (Gauteng). Job Description

Key Duties:
The primary purpose of the role is to manage Company’s Quality function that demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. (To establish and implement measurements to assess and improve customer satisfaction).
To establish and maintain a Quality Management System catering for all Company business processes and to ensure that processes support the Company value chain and comply with corporate quality and prescribed international quality standards.
To guide Company’s Executive Management in the assessment of Company’s business health from a quality and business optimization and risk management point of view.
To identify and initiate corrective and improvement actions accordingly.
Act as a member of the Company Executive Management team and participate in the overall company management.
To provide a product Regulatory Affairs function to ensure all appropriate legal requirements are addressed and potential risk abatement plans are implemented.

Requirements:
B. Eng (Electronic / Mechanical)
Diploma in Quality Management (eg: City & Guilds of London Institute, or American Society of Quality Controllers (ASQC)) – would be ideal
15 years experience, including product design, assembly and general management
Experience of optical, mechanical and electronic design and electro-optical products
Good functional understanding of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and Quality Management principles
ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent training course - would be ideal
ISO 14001:2004 equivalent training course - would be ideal
