Deputy director job in government clearing & forwarding agency

Qualifications and requirements:
For Appointment To This Grade, A Candidate Must Have:
(i) Served For At Least Three (3) Years At The Grade Of Assistant Director Of Government Clearing And Forwarding Agency, Job Group ‘p’;
(ii) A Bachelors Degree In Commerce (either In Insurance, International Trade, Accounting Or Supplies Management Option) Or A Bachelor Of Arts Degree In Economics Or Business Administration From A Recognized University;
(iii) A Masters Degree In Any Of The Following Disciplines: Insurance, International Trade, Accounting Or Supplies Chain Management, Economics Or Business Administration (mba) From A Recognized University;
(iv) Acquired Vast Experience In Organization And Management Of Clearing, Forwarding, Warehousing And Shipping Works;
(v) Attended A Strategic Leadership Development Programme Lasting Not Less Than Six (6) Weeks In A Recognized Institution;
(vi) Attended A Senior Management Course Lasting Not Less Than Four (4) Weeks In A Recognized Institution; And
(vii) Demonstrated Outstanding Administrative And Professional Capabilities.

Duties And Responsibilities
Duties And Responsibilities At This Level Will Include:
(i) Planning And Coordinating Clearing And Forwarding Services;
(ii) Preparing Estimates Of Expenditure And Vote Book Control;
(iii) Initiating Policy Review, Updating And Enforcing Existing Regulations, Procedures And Processes; And
(iv) Training And Development Of Clearing And Forwarding Agency Personnel.
