public service commission senior assistant director job in debt management

For Appointment To This Grade, A Candidate Must Have:

(i) Served For At Least Fifteen (15) Years In Debt Management, Three (3) Of Which Should Have Been At Job Group ‘n’ And Above In Debt Management Or In A Comparable Position In The Wider Public Service;
(ii) Attended A Senior Management Course Lasting Not Less Than Four (4) Weeks In A Recognized Institution; And
(iii) Demonstrated High Professional Competence And Managerial Capability Coupled With Broad Experience/knowledge Of Debt Policy And Strategy Formulation/implementation.

Note: A Masters Degree In A Relevant Field From A Recognized University And Attendance To The Strategic Leadership Development Programme Lasting Not Less Than Six (6) Weeks In A Recognized Institution Will Be Added Advantages.

Duties And Responsibilities
Duties And Responsibilities At This Level Will Include:
(i) Assigning Duties And Responsibilities To Officers In The Department;
(ii) Negotiating External Debt;
(iii) Executing Public Debt Transactions In Domestic And International Financial Markets;
(iv) Recommending Operational Policies, Debt Management Strategies And Operational Benchmarks;
(v) Overseeing Risk And Debt Sustainability Analysis; And
(vi) Publishing Statistical Bulletin And Debt Management Information.
