Background

Centers for Health Solutions (CHS) is a newly formed Kenyan non-governmental organization (NGO) whose goal is to strengthen public health programs in developing countries, with specific emphasis on HIV Care and Treatment, TB, malaria, and other public health issues. CHS receives support from ICAP-Kenya an international organization funded by Centers for Disease Control and prevention (CDC) through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Centers for Health Solutions (CHS) works collaboratively with the Ministries of Health in Kenya, other international and local NGOs, FBOs and CBOs. Currently CHS supports 51 government health facilities in central province reaching approximately 50,700 people living with HIV in central province, Kenya.

Our senior technical advisors within the country are often unable to adjust their existing schedules to take a technical lead in proposal development, therefore we are looking to build a network of external professional consultants for short-term assignments that can respond on short-notice with strong technical expertise and proposal writing skills for upcoming competitive proposals from major public donors such as the USG and Global fund. Individual terms of reference and scope of work will be developed for each assignment.

Core Competencies
• In country experts with a global view of public health in developing countries and a track record of developing successful HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria proposal and or technical expertise on Health
• HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria program management experience/understanding preferably in Africa at service delivery level, and international development and programs level.
