MANAGER - RECEIVABLE ACCOUNTING
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Overall Goal
To oversee sales channels activities, ensures all sales orders are invoiced, paid for and properly accounted for in the books of accounts as per IFRS requirements
Key Result Areas - Role and Responsibilities
- Put in place procedures and processes for the sales channels section i.e. overseeing the process of outsourcing the sales channels front end activities.
- Ensure all channel commissions are properly calculated and invoiced by the distributor.
- Managing intercompany reconciliations.
- In-charge of Sales channels accounting, yuCash and postpaid transactions.
- Revenue accounting and reporting.
- Credit control management for outstanding debtor accounts.
- Coordinating month end closure for the section.
- Managing the balance sheet analysis and self validation checklist for the section. Both to be submitted by the 10th of the following month.
- Contact person for all sales channels internal and external audits.
- Supervising sales channels staff including setting and monitoring performance contracts and competence development.
Key Result Indicators
- Level of order in filing accounts receivable documentation.
Status of the Debtors aging. - Level of reconciling items between customer statements and Accounts Receivables statements.
- Accuracy of revenue coding.
- Adherence to the month end closing timelines.
- Accuracy and timelines of the accounts receivables accounts analysis.
Qualifications & accreditations required for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, commerce or business administration related
- CPA(K) or ACCA qualified
- 5 years post qualification experience
