Support Services Director- Leading International Christian NGO

A leading International Christian Non-governmental organization would like to recruit highly competent and proactive person to fill the following position of Support Services Director  within one of its key units.

Purpose of Position: The Support Services Director will provide leadership for the coordination and management of the Regional Office’s Support Services Department for the effective and efficient delivery of support services in the areas of Finance, Security, Administration and People and Culture.

 Major Responsibilities
·         Ensure that a favorable working environment is created and maintained for staff at the Regional Office to effectively execute their duties as they deliver support to national offices.
·         Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
·         Ensure that applicable local policies are regularly reviewed, developed, updated and communicated to all clients.
·         Ensure efficient and effective delivery of services by external providers (including but not limited to procurement, construction, travel, airport transfer, security, and cleaning services).
·         Manage the relationships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Immigration, the corporate lawyer, contractors and vendors.
·         Supervise direct reports and Support Services Department team and provide guidance in the development of operational standards for all functional areas within department.
·         Build a high culture of customer services within his team with a desire for continuous improvement.

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·         A bachelors degree in Business/Business administration/general management
·         At least 5 years management experience
·         Experience in developing, reviewing and improving integrated business processes
·         Good understanding of accounting principles
·         Good understanding of local corporate law as it relates to NGOs / International NGOs as well as local labor laws
·         Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and database software)
·         Good organizational skills and attention to detail
·         Must be service and results oriented.
