sales and marketing professional job in Kenya

Our client, is looking for a top drawer sales and marketing professional to spearhead their
organizational strategy. Our client is in the business of Mobile Advertising and this new way
of marketing is a brand new territory that will transform advertising as it stands today.

The successful candidate will be based in our client’s offices in Nairobi, Kenya.

Qualification
• Degree in Commerce (Marketing Option) or related field.
• Professional qualification e.g. MSK or CIM - Diploma
Experience
• 2 – 3 years practical experience as a Sales & Marketing Manager
• Experience in Advertising set up essential
• Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales goals

JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for creating opportunities for revenue generation through the sale of
Mobile adverting platform.
Major Responsibilities
Sourcing for clients
• Tirelessly prospect for new customers to meet and exceed stated sales goals.
• Locate and contact potential clients in order to offer our products.
• Identify new markets and design products to serve them.
• Effectively manage sales activities i.e. visits, telephone calls and proposal writing
Presentations
• Selling the benefits of Mobile adverting platform to potential customers.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential customers.
• Obtain and study information about client’s products, needs, problems, advertising
history, and business practices in order to offer effective sales presentation and
appropriate assistance.
Client Relationship
• Effectively manage and grow assigned accounts.
• Serve as day to day liaison with clients to ensure successful and timely completion of
projects.
• Assist clients to better understand our products and therefore develop a better advertising
strategy.
• Provide superior customer service to guarantee repetitive business.
Art work coordination
• Liaise with content creation team to develop advertising according to the job brief.
• Deliver advertising proofs to customers for approval.
• Inform customers on available options for advertisement artwork and provide samples.
Document Preparation
• Draw up business proposals and contracts.
• Discuss and review both proposal and contract with management for authorization.
• Process all correspondence and paper related to the respective account.
• Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising services.
Risk Management
• Ensure the interest of both the company and client are well protected.
• Manage receivables in line with the Company’s credit policy.
Other
• Attend sales meetings, industry trade shows, and training seminars in order to gather
information, expand network of contacts and increase knowledge.
• Attend weekly sales meetings
• Prepare weekly sales reports
• Prepare monthly report to show status against agreed targets.
• Provide regular briefs to the General Manager
Financial Responsibility (Budget)
• No direct control on resources however the role has a direct impact on revenue
generation.
