The Mashariki Consulting Network has an opportunity for a highly experienced and specialised Regional Expert who will act as an adviser to the East African Community Secretariat.
The adviser will be primarily concerned with raising awareness within the secretariat on the role of civil society and particularly of women in regional economic integration.
The assignment will be for two years initially, beginning in September 2010.
The qualifications and experience required are:
- A university degree in the social sciences or similar Professional experience in public private dialogue
- Managing and mediating digital dialogue platforms and networking (5 years)
- Promoting civil society and gender issues (5 years)
- At least 5 years experience working in East Africa
- Excellent English and French language capabilities
