An International Mineral Exploration Company is seeking an assistant to the Financial Controller to be based in Mkwajuni, near Mbeya.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare Bank and Balance Sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Assist with preparing accounts and financial statements on a quarterly basis
• Assist external auditors during annual audit
• Preparing supplier-payments for approval by controller
• Assist in identifying tax issues and filing tax returns
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Must be very familiar with MS Excel
• Some familiarity with an Accounting Software package would be beneficial
• Exposure to IFRS reporting would be an added advantage
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Beginning to work towards CPA or ACCA qualification
