Farmchem, a leading agricultural inputs importer and supplier in Kenya, with a focus on East African market expansion and providing innovative farming solutions to farmers is seeking a qualified, dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Credit Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compile and achieve collection target, allocate payments and reconcile accounts according to specific deadlines. Audit customers invoicing and ensure the system is up-to-date.
* Maintain accounts receivable files, manage customers credit files, correspond with customers on missing documentation, investigate, resolve queries and process approved adjustments.
* Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash and direct bank deposits.
* Monitor customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
* Liaising with collection recovery agencies across the territories
* Producing ad hoc, high quality management information
* Undertaking strategic project work where necessary
* Desired Skills and Ability You will be an excellent negotiator and communicator used to achieving results.
* Demonstrate sound commercial credit experience and current technical accounting knowledge Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the areas of credit management Possess the ability to work on own initiative, challenge team performance, handle pressure and pay attention to detail/accuracy.
Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in business from a recognized university or equivalent or a CPA (K) holder
* Diploma in Credit Management, added advantage
* 3-5 year post qualification commercial track record in a medium sized business with hands on working experience of accounts receivables, credit scoring systems and proven ability to travel to customer sites on short notice to conduct successful negotiations
